This was an exciting weekend for friends and family of Church Street.
Trainer Stephen Frank made his light heavyweight pro-debut Friday night in Long Island City and did not disappoint. After 3 rounds of punishing body shots, Frank ended the contest 22 seconds into the final frame. A solid left hook sent his opponent, Marlon Farr, into the ropes and unable to continue.

At Brooklyn’s Pacplex Sports Club, Church Street member Kalief Lindo registered an equally dominate performance in his Daily News Golden Gloves match against Joseph Carney. Lindo was named P.C. Richard Boxer of the Night and was credit with the Empire Casino Punch of the Night for the right hook that ended the evening for Carney with 19 seconds left in the third and final round.
